[dx Wraith]
by Kevin Leahy Date Added: Saturday 28 May, 2011
In the description, it says that it's for intermediate to advanced players. I disagree. Surely it isn't for novices, as its flight path would be difficult to 'get down,' but I think after a consistent throw has been developed, this disc will immediately add yardage to your throws. I remember when I first got one, I added 50' to my throws easy, and as such I recommended it to a friend who's been playing for a month or so, and he's added similar distance to what used to be 150' max shots. Now that I've improved my game and thrown significantly further and harder, the disc is too understable for me. Perhaps my friend's new wraith is a lighter disc, but I find my throws even tossed at a hard hyzer angle will flip back and fly far to the right (emphasis on the 'far.' This thing SOARS). Of course if I played with it more I could tame it, but I hardly think it's a 'disc for the pros' by any stretch of the imagination.

Disc Golf (also known as "Frisbee Golf" and "Folf" or "Frolf" and even "Disk Golf") is played much like traditional golf. Players throw flying discs (golf discs or Frisbees®) from a tee area toward a Disc Golf Basket or Target. The object: complete the hole by putting your golf disc in the basket in the fewest number of throws. Formalized in the 1970s, disc golf is governed by the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA). There are more than 1,750 disc golf courses worldwide, with over 1,400 in the USA.
