[2014 ACERACE]

The top 3 Ace Races with the most participants will receive a Discraft Chainstar Basket to award as the grand prize!
Bring your friends & family and make this happen!
Again this year our Ace Race has a tournament option -everyone is eligible to play the tournament.  If you choose not to, simply play the 28 holes only as Ace Race holes.
When:          Saturday, October 25th, 2014
**If registering more than one person, please note their name, address, phone and email in the notes section**
Time:           Ace Race ONLY:  8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
(It will take approximately 3 hours to finish the course)
Where:        Brookland Exec Nine Golf Course / Central Park
                    8232 Regent Avenue North
                    Brooklyn Park, MN 55443
Entry Fee:    $25
Format:        1 round of 28 holes,  2 throws per hole, per player.  If playing the tournament, the best disc from the 2 Ace attempts will be used as your 1st throw for your whole score and will mark your lie for your next throw.
Layout: 28 hole temporary disc golf course setup on the executive 9-hole golf course.  Ace Race Stations generally range between 180-250 feet.

Player Package:  All Ace Race participants will receive a player's pack that includes two Z proto discs, a premium towel, Discraft hat and other cool gear valued at $65! Get ready to run it!!   The player's pack will be given out when you check in at the event.

Sanctioning:   As an official Ace Race, everyone is encouraged and welcome to play.  The emphasis is on having fun.

Rules of Play for the Ace Race:  Players are required to use the player package discs, and only these discs.  There will be two throws per hole, per player. Scorecards are marked with an “A” for aces (hole in one) and an “M” for holes on which they hit metal. After all players in the group have thrown, discs are picked up and the group moves directly to the next tee. The player with the highest score after 28 holes is declared the winner. In case of ties, the number of metal hits is used as a tiebreaker. If a tie persists, a closest to the pin contest is then used to determine the event winner.

Grand prize:  If we are one of the top 3 attended events, you have the opportunity to win a Discraft Chainstar Basket!  Additional prizes will be awarded.

Side Games:  Including disc accuracy and putting based on “WFDF Overalls” disciplines.

Halloween Costume Contest:  Prizes awarded to best costume decided by our panel of judges.

Disc Golf (also known as "Frisbee Golf" and "Folf" or "Frolf" and even "Disk Golf") is played much like traditional golf. Players throw flying discs (golf discs or Frisbees®) from a tee area toward a Disc Golf Basket or Target. The object: complete the hole by putting your golf disc in the basket in the fewest number of throws. Formalized in the 1970s, disc golf is governed by the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA). There are more than 1,750 disc golf courses worldwide, with over 1,400 in the USA.
